Slow page
Is your WooCommerce store slow?
Slow shop and product pages make people leave before they buy, especially on mobile data. We find what’s slowing your store down and fix it.
Does this look familiar?
Signs you’ve got this bug
- Shop and product pages take several seconds to appear, worst on mobile.
- Low mobile speed scores in speed tests.
- wp-admin is slow too, and saving products takes ages.
- The site slows down or crashes when you run a sale or promotion.
- Your host keeps warning you about resource limits.
Why it happens
Speed problems rarely have one cause. Typical ones are oversized images, heavy page builders and themes, too many plugins loading on every page, no proper caching, a database bloated with old sessions and revisions, and hosting that’s too small for a WooCommerce store.
Much of your audience is on mobile data, so page size matters more here than in many overseas markets.
How we fix it
- Measure firstWe test your key pages (home, shop, product, cart, checkout) and find what’s actually slow.
- Fix the biggest winsImage optimisation, caching that works with WooCommerce, and removing or replacing heavy plugins.
- Clean the databaseClear out expired sessions, transients, revisions and leftovers from old plugins.
- Advise on hostingIf your hosting is the bottleneck, we’ll tell you honestly and help you move.
Questions
Why is my WooCommerce store slower than a normal WordPress site?
Stores do more work: carts, sessions, stock, prices, and pages like cart and checkout that can’t be fully cached. They need a setup built for that.
Will a caching plugin fix it?
It helps, but set up wrongly it can break carts and checkout. Caching needs to be set up with WooCommerce in mind.
Do I need new hosting?
Not always. We fix what we can first, and only recommend moving if the hosting really is the limit.
